SWIR — Short-Wave Infrared

Short-wave infrared sensors (≈1.4–3 µm) appear repeatedly in the AARO PR series, often as the only sensor modality in which the operator could see the area of contrast. PR-grade reports describe operators switching between SWIR and visible spectrum and losing the subject when leaving SWIR.
